Healthy Hooch Kombucha is a certified organic kombucha, brewed with care in Abbotsford, BC, Canada. They value our community, our customers and our consumers. Healthy Hooch Kombucha supports local suppliers and sources local ingredients and grow their own whenever possible.
When Sho and Will Routley started Healthy Hooch Kombucha immediately after retiring from professional sport, they hit the ground running, and it was the best thing they could have done. It gave them new purpose and new goals in an area that they are truly passionate about -- Health.
Will grew up as a mountain kid in Whistler, and Sho grew up on acreage in the Fraser Valley, and over their 17 years together, they’ve always shared a love for sports, the outdoors and food. The couple were lucky enough to train and race all over the world for more than 17 years together. They spent a lot of time in grocery stores, cooking healthy meals, and looking for healthy alternatives on the road. They spent years researching health products from across the world, unknowingly adding to a much needed future knowledge base.
Six years ago, they decided it was finally time to put down some roots, so they bought and renovated an 80-year-old farmhouse in Abbotsford. Over the next 3 years, they continued to race professionally, but when they were home, they dabbled in farming, grew a plethora of fruits and vegetables, distributed berries, and raised pigs, chickens, and cows. They found themselves thinking like entrepreneurs, and starting a business was the next step.
After years of drinking kombucha in the US while racing, they knew it was a growing market and that there was room for a quality kombucha in Canada. So they took the plunge and started the process. Healthy Hooch Kombucha has been running for almost 4 years now, and like sport, there have been relentless hurdles and learning curves, but perseverance is something that we have in spades. It has only benefited them as business owners. Both Will and Sho are motivated and ambitious to a fault, but with that comes a passion for always being and doing better. That is something they can promise themselves, their business practices, and to the people that love and trust Healthy Hooch Kombucha.
