“We provide a safe setting for people,” says Jen Candela, VFM’s communication manager. “People can still connect with others, connect with farmers and participate in the local food community.”
VFM’s Fresh to Families program currently supports 175 families, giving them access to fresh food, translation services, when needed, information on food literacy and more. The program is funded by community donations and corporate sponsors.
