Canwest Farms

CanWest Farms is the hard work and passion of the Kallu family. They have been farming since the 1960's in Richmond, BC. In the 1980s, Sukhbir and Kiran Kallu, harvested many fruits and vegetables, including strawberries, broccoli and sprouts. During the 90s, as their five children grew up, they modified the fruit market to specialize solely in cultivating and packaging blueberries. The Kallu kids revelled in learning from their parents, and grew up helping on the farm. To this day, they are proud to say that CanWest Farms remains family owned and operated. You can still see Sukhbir and Kiran in their farm market and in the blueberry fields, but majority of the work has now been passed down to their son, Humraj Kallu.
