Helmers' Organic Farm
We are a family owned and operated farm located in the Seed Potato Capital of North America: the beautiful Pemberton Valley. We have farmed organically since clearing the land and making fields in 1980 and we are the fourth generation of this family to farm in the Pemberton Valley.
We are known as growers of spectacular tasting potatoes. Each one of our up to 18 varieties has been chosen for its own specific taste and cooking characteristics.
Our farming practices meet or exceed organic certification standards. We also follow Biodynamic methods to further build soil health and fertility. The Biodynamic method of farming encompasses three main principles, these being the application of Biodynamic preparations, recognition of the subtle changes in growing conditions as the earth travels through the cosmos, and striving to make the farm an independent entity requiring minimal inputs.
