Grandmother's Favourite Grapefruit Marmalade

Instructions

Makes approximately 12 250-millilitre jars

3 large grapefruits, 2 oranges, 1 lemon

Put the fruit through a mincer, excepting the seeds. Then put into an aluminum pot and add 3 1/2 quarts of boiling water. Let it stand for 36 hours, then bring to boiling point and boil hard for at least 1 hour or even a little longer to thicken up. Add 20 cups of sugar and boil until it gels, then put in a saucer to cool.
